FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Pricing & Quotes
How much does a tax filing cost?+
We don't publish set prices, because the right fee depends on the complexity of your situation. Every engagement starts with a conversation and ends in a specific quote, tell us what you're dealing with and we'll tell you what it costs.
Is the initial consultation free?+
Yes. We use it to understand your situation before quoting, there's no obligation.
Engagement Process
What does the engagement process look like?+
Consultation, then document collection through the secure portal, then preparation and review by a specialist and a second reviewer, then filing and follow-up.
How long does a typical engagement take?+
It depends on the service. A straightforward income tax return moves faster than a TAJ audit response or an annual audit engagement. We give you a specific timeline once we understand your situation.
Do I need to come into the office?+
No. The portal, consultations, and communication are all designed to work without an in-person visit, this is standard for every client, not just diaspora clients.
Documents
What documents will I need to provide?+
It varies by service, each service page lists what's typically needed. We confirm the specific list for your situation during onboarding.
How do I send sensitive documents like bank statements?+
Through the secure client portal only. We never accept financial documents by email.
Remote & Diaspora Clients
I live overseas. Can you handle everything remotely?+
Yes, this is a core part of how we work, not a special accommodation. See our dedicated page for filing Jamaican taxes from abroad for more detail.
How do you handle the time difference?+
Consultations are scheduled to fit your time zone, and portal messaging means most communication doesn't depend on catching each other live.
Portal & Security
How does the client portal work?+
You get an invite-only account, protected by mandatory multi-factor authentication. Document requests appear as a checklist, you upload what's needed, and everything is scanned before anyone at GTCL can see it.
Is my information kept confidential?+
Yes, both technically, through encryption, scanning, and access logging, and professionally, under the confidentiality obligations of tax practice. See our security page for the full picture.
An engagement usually starts with one conversation.
Tell us what you're dealing with, individually or on behalf of your business, and we'll tell you plainly what it takes to resolve it.
